What is an Oracle RUP Update?
Oracle RUP or Roll Up Patch is the single consolidated patch including bug fixes and functionality delivered across the period. This standardises the code line for Oracle HCM on which the tax year-end patch will be based. For Oracle Payroll customers this patch is mandatory.

For all other Oracle E-Business Suite HCM customers, this is an opportunity to baseline your solution with the very latest product features, functionality and bug fixes to benefit your solution.
When are these Oracle RUPs released?
Oracle RUP patches are traditionally released in May/June/July and can be applied any time from immediately to immediately prior to your Tax Year End Patch.
Progress is maintained via a “Known Issues” document. This should be checked regularly to ensure you receive the benefit of the latest updates.

Claremont recommends applying these patches from around September, providing the opportunity for issues to be identified and resolved, yet enough time to test and deploy before the Christmas rush, and in preparation for the tax year-end patch cycle in the New Year.
Overview of affected areas for this Oracle RUP
Amongst the additions this year, Learning Management features a new Class Scheduling feature, which grants administrators the ability to create classes in bulk for the same offering. Reminder notifications can be set at offering or class level to remind learners of upcoming classes, and enhancements to the ‘Notify’ page now include auto-population of fields, drop-down validation of the recipient, and the ability to edit the content prior to submission.
The GB BIK Late Leavers Adjustment Process includes new elements “GB BIK Assets Transferred” and “GB BIK Assets at Emp Disposal”. Employer Payment Summary (EPS) files may now be purged from the HMRC transaction page, and there are minor change Assignment Process Results screen.
In Core HR, there is now a new EIT for recording "Work from Home Info”
There are also additions in iRecruitment, Self Service HR, and Time & Labor, making this year's RUP patch of interest to all users of HCM.
