The Role

This role is within our Delivery team, and within our HCM capability, delivering services principally against the Oracle E-Business Suite products.  The role will be mostly delivering against Claremont’s Managed Service engagements, but will also include delivering some project work.  The role will involve occasional client (UK wide) travel, as well as occasional travel for internal meetings.  The role will be home based.

The successful candidate will be primarily a technical consultant, able to successfully liaise with our customers to deliver technical solutions to issues and new requirements.  However, the role also requires that the successful candidate has extensive functional knowledge within the HCM E-Business Suite product.

Your Experience and Skills

  • Outstanding technical capability, to include understanding of the HCM data structures, and the ability to use standard Oracle development tools, including capability in areas such as PL/SQL & APIs, Alerts, Workflow, BI Publisher & Bursting
  • Additionally capability in the following areas would be extremely useful: Java, OAF, Web Services, Business Events
  • A wide functional breadth of Oracle product knowledge within the HCM suite, principally to include Payroll (including Retro Pay, ability to create elements and Fast Formula, etc.), Core HR (including PTO accruals and Life Events) and Employee & Manager Self Service, but also to include modules such as OLM, iRecruitment, Advanced Benefits, Time & Labor, Compensation Workbench, etc.
  • Previous experience of working within a support environment, underpinned by ITIL based working practices (the candidate should ideally be certified at Foundation level for ITIL, but training to support this will be provided if a candidate can demonstrate understanding of the principles).

  • A “can do” attitude with a desire to deliver excellent results.
  • Strong attention to detail with a desire and ability to work accurately.
  • The ability to work under pressure and plan, manage and deliver multiple simultaneous activities. This will include good time management skills.
  • ITIL v3 Certification would be desirable.
